Wow, what a terrific campground! I stayed at Betsie River Campsite in August and it was completely full and lively. However, as soon as quiet hours started, the campground was completely quiet. I really appreciated that because some Michigan campgrounds definitely have noise problems. For me, it's all about clean bathrooms and showers when camping. Those are the two modern amenities that I just don't want to go without. And Betsie River Campsite's restroom and shower was terrific! Clean, spacious, and modern. The tiling in the showers is higher quality than what I have at home. That wasn't important to me, but I was impressed. I can't imagine having a bad experience with this campground and I'll stay there as often as I can when I'm in the area.
We had a last minute change to our camping trip, needing accommodations for a very large group. The owners were so helpful in getting us set up. We had a wonderful vacation with babies, kids , teens, and adults..no complaints. The bathroom/shower room was so clean and inviting, and the shop/ cafe were the perfect addition to th vibe!
I really can’t say enough good things about Betsie River Campground. They have a cute cafe that offers wonderful breakfast at a very reasonable price. Ice and firewood were also reasonably priced. The bathrooms were always clean and the cabin we stayed in was also clean and cozy with a picnic table, fire pit and comfortable chairs on the porch. An added bonus is the campground is right on the paved bike trail that will take you into Frankfort and Beulah. Can’t wait to go back!
I quiet Lil campground just outside of Frankfort Mi and Elberta mi with a quiant Lil store, and café, and the betsie trail goes right by it, and you can rent bikes from them. Our stay was as good as it could get.
A big group of us stayed here for four nights last weekend and we loved the campground! It was well maintained and the bathrooms were clean and very nice. It was very quiet at night. We stayed in our own campers but there were lots of cute cabins to rent. Right on the Betsie Valley Trailway so we rode our bikes into Frankfort to shop, dine and the beach! They had bikes to rent at the campground as well. Highly recommend!
Spacious tent sites with 110v outlets. Wifi available across campground. Ice available on-site. Easy access to Frankfort, Elberta, or Beulah via River Rd.
I live the van life and stay at many campgrounds. Betsie’s is the best!! Loved the choices of sites, the personal touch in the bathrooms (beautiful tiled showers, vanity mirror, rain shower heads), loved the cabins (even though I didn’t have a chance to stay in one), loved the check in. No other campsite I’ve been to offered souvenirs or breakfast!! If I’m ever back in this part of the country, I’m coming here.
What a cute little camp ground! Friendly owners, we started our day with a nice shower and home cooked breakfast all made from scratch. We had 2 lots which was big enough for 2 tests, 4 adults and 4 med size dogs. Great and relaxing area. Just a short drive away from the main area of Frankfort.
Really loved this quiet campground. We were tent camping and stayed in spot #12. Loved that it backed up to the woods. Clean bathroom and showers. They have honor system set up for ice and firewood for afterhours so this should tell you something about the place. It's right next to a wonderful bike path. Would stay here again while traveling.
Only stayed one night to ride the Betsie Valley Bike Trail but it was clean, quiet and comfortable. Good price too. I rented one of the small cabins so it's like camping without any hassle and I got to sleep in a real bed. I only had to bring a sleeping bag and stuff for smores. They have firewood available right at the campground as well. Had a great breakfast at the Tiny Cafe. Highly recommend.
