The Brio Beach Inn offers a convenient and affordable stay in Traverse City, praised for its friendly staff and prime location near the beach. While some guests appreciate the simple charm and beach access, concerns regarding room size, breakfast quality, and road noise have been raised.
Rooms are small but well equiped, clean, and updated. Great price compared to other hotels in the area. Operation is outstanding, staff exceptional, location awesome with water toy rental right next door. I will be back!
Came here for a weekend getaway wirh my wife. The experience has been priceless. The location is perfect, and the views are even better. Within driving or cycling distance to downtown TC and all that it has to offer tourists. The staff was incredibly friendly and started a beach bonfire during sunset. We were even offered home baked cookies upon arriving and we were able to check in early. The rooms are perfect for a couple wanting to get away for just a few days to take in the beach vibes and the quaintness of Travers City. If you are around the area, definitely book this to impress any loved ones in your life.
Very happy with our stay at the Brio Beach Inn! Loved the location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfy and clean. Will definitely book here again.
Well maintained nice quaint little motel on a beautiful property. Staff and visitors were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the stay as much as or more than some of the bigger hotels.
The rooms were very small, though tastefully appointed. The bed was comfortable. Furniture was uncomfortable, the chairs having worn out cushion foam. The towels were terrible. Barely absorbed water and didn't dry out day to day. Breakfast gets zero stars. Powdered eggs, reheated sausage and bulk (Gorden's?) pre-packaged pancakes or French toast. On the plus side, they had a small beach one and outside pavilion to eat take-out. The staff was very friendly. Overall, this room was definitely not worth the $250/night.
My little slice of Heaven! Not only do I look forward to the location, views & accommodations but the staff too! I really enjoy chatting with them, they are always so warm & genuine!
The view was to die for chrck in with shay was super easy he was so polite the housekeepers was super sweet Patricia and Renee, will definitely be back!!!
What a great stay! Rooms were clean and the view was breathtaking! Staff were excellent as well as the breakfast! I Will absolutely be returning!
Clean, relatively new rooms, though they are very small and ours had a slight cigarette smell. I booked this through Chase travel. I wish I had known beforehand that the style of the building is the classic two-level roadside motel with the room doors opening to the outdoors instead of an interior hallway. Because the door faces the road, I could hear every car, truck, and motorcycle drive by the building on the main road through Traverse City. I thought the rooms might face the bay, but that is not the case. There was no view of the water from our room, though it looks like others might have a better view. If you want to be by the beach, this might be a good spot. But I don't understand the price for what you get.
Stopped for a night because of the great price, stayed 3 more nights because of the fabulous place it is. Small Inn with clean and functional rooms with fridge, microwave, flat screen with Direct TV for service. Breakfast is great and plentiful with a bit of variety hot and cold. The staff…they’re all so friendly, helpful and ready with a helping hand. On my first night I was bedazzled by my first Aurora Borealis experience….which happened to be a chance of a lifetime kind of show. I’ve attached pics. The beach is steps from your room with a beautiful deck area above sand and lounge chairs on the sand for plenty of seating. 2 grills and seating for dinner as well. The beach is perfect for a swim…too cold now but I walked up to my knees and it’s all sand bottom and clear waters? Nothing fancy here but it doesn’t get better than this little gem??
