Cold Creek Inn offers a unique, somewhat rustic dining experience in Beulah, Michigan, with strong emphasis on its food and friendly service. While praised for its atmosphere and welcoming staff, some guests have experienced inconsistencies in food quality and service speed. It’s a popular local spot.
Great food & great service. Cozy dining room. Staff went above & beyond to ensure my 92 year old grandma had a nice visit, thank you. Little shops & boutiques to walk around
A really cute place! Very" up north." I also felt like I was stepping back in time when people stayed above the public house /pub. The rooms are all above the restaurant/ bar area. Just be aware that there are no elevators and you have to open a door with a key directly to the stairs up to the rooms. A little awkward if you have a lot of baggage but totally manageable. The rooms were very clean. When I went to check in I had to ask the host at the restaurant. They found somebody and I had to sit at the bar for a little bit to get a turned to have the bartender/owner check me into the hotel. If you're not in a hurry, it was in a unique and fun experience. The location is" down town." It's walkable to Crystal lake. The stores and shops are really fun. There's a great organic grocery store right across the street and a lot of fun shops with art and jewelry and crystals. I would totally stay here again!
This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve had eating out. Arrived and was greeted and seated. Overheard the server tell the table next to us Internet was down and they were having issues with the system. Later our order was taken. Mac n cheese and a “smash” burger along with a beer. Never got my beer. The proclaimed 1/2 lb of “fresh” beef was 2 frozen regular hamburgers…. The Mac n cheese… noodles and cheese melted in a rue. Seasonings? What are those? Then we get our bill. We were asked to either write our debit/credit card number and info down(absolutely not) or pay with cash. That would have been super convenient to know before we ordered when you knew your Internet wasn’t working(as stated before the server informed the table next to us before we ordered so you’d think they would tell us the system is down). When talking to who I believe was the owner/someone in charge they tried to tell me they “didn’t know”and scoffed at me when I told them they should’ve told me before I ordered. I had to walk a mile to get cash. Would not recommend going here.
First time in Beulah on a one-week work trip, and this was hands down the best fish I’ve ever had! The award-winning perch dinner was incredible, the Yucatán shrimp appetizer was amazing, and the Cold Creek Cobbler was the perfect finish. Great food, great service
The owner's were more than accommodating! Food was absolutely amazing as well! Talking shop with the owner, I made mention of our original reservation down the road that had fallen through and he handed us a key to a room! Owner invited us to coffee at his shop, "Keep on grinding coffee house"! Absolutely an amazing star alignment situation to say the least!
Great food. Never have had a bad meal at Cold Creek. The staff is always friendly and fun to be around .
The food was overcooked and way under seasoned, the menu is mostly frozen or reheated food served way past the expiration date, where's the health department when you need them? If you're going to charge top dollar at least the dishes from scratch. I do not recommend Cold Creek Inn on your travels.
Great atmosphere. Good food but don’t order a pizza, it’s really a flat bread over priced no sauce just splashed. Everything is great but pizza is a over priced flat bread
My family and I decided to try the Cold Creek Inn on a cold Sunday afternoon. We were immediately greeted by their wonderful host Felix. Felix made us feel so welcome and was a joy to be served by. My wife and I had the loaded Tots, two cups of their excellent coffee and we both had the Cold Creek Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. Our Daughter had the Chicken Tenders and Fries. Felix was such a friendly and happy server he is a true credit to the business. The food was quick and wonderful, everything tasted great. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of service we received. Felix has earned yall a regular family that will visit this wonderful local spot. Thank you Felix for being such a warm and wonderful host on such a cold and frigid day. Merry Christmas.
My husband & I are rarely happy with our food. The atmosphere, service & food is amazing here. I highly recommend it, & If we come back up here in the summer we will for sure be stopping at Cold Creek inn again. It is super clean as well. Loved it! We did not stay at the hotel, I wouldn't be afraid to, if I needed a room.
