This Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Traverse City receives mixed reviews, with significant concerns regarding cleanliness, room conditions, and staff responsiveness. Newer reviews detail a troubling decline in quality.
First room wasn't even clean. Had to ask for new room 5 minutes after checking in. She was very understanding & appallagetic. Very nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast was very good. Court yard could use some work. Room was nice but little things like a rusty toliet paper holder just takes away from it.
One star is an act of charity this dump does not deserve. Pool and hot tub were dead the entire stay. We asked to cancel the second we found out. Denied. They also somehow forgot to mention this minor detail before we booked. Convenient. Room came with spiders. Living décor, I guess. On multiple days there was no room service, so trash and used towels just piled up in the hallway. TV has no captions and no guide. You’re reduced to blindly flipping channels. When they finally offered a partial “refund,” it was calculated on the rate the hotel charged Booking.com, not the actual amount we paid to booking.com for the room. The staff was not smart enough to understand this difficult concept and frankly seemed to careless. If your goal is to waste money and leave Traverse City more disgusted with humanity than when you arrived, book here. Perfect Hotel
When we got to our room, we were shocked by how tiny it was—there was barely enough space to set down two suitcases without tripping over them. The beds were as hard as a slab of concrete, and to make matters worse, there weren't even blankets on the bed, just thin, scratchy top sheets. The biggest disappointment was finding out that both the pool and hot tub were out of order. Management didn't send an email beforehand, and when they told us as we checked in they wouldn't give us a discount. My three kids were not happy. Save your money and book somewhere else. Between the cramped, uncomfortable room and the total lack of basic customer service, this place is nowhere near worth the price.
I’ve been to this hotel twice with no where else to go and each time they have saved me. The rooms are nice, clean good to lay your head in. The front desk worker was really accommodating and nice, very helpful. I reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in traverse city.
Great Hotel with nice room, good customer service and a good breakfast. The room was good size. There were a couple of small issues that we reported to them and they apologized and said they would fix them right away. The location was convenient and quiet. I would stay again and recommend it.
Went to check in a few weeks ago and as soon as we shut the door we seen this cockroach ?. Room had a bad smell and there was stains on the ceiling and walls. We had stayed here a few times in prior years with no issues but this place has definitely went down hill.
Worst experience , I drove 3 hours away just to get told my room was no longer available and they gave it away , and said they were all booked , and tried sending me to a motel ,did not even tried contacting me days in advanced and did NOT want to fully refund me my money only HALF.. not professional at all! Lost me as a costumer ??????
The Hotel is nice, but 1 thing really pissed me off. The 11 signs telling me not to take my SS Yeti into the pool and hot tub area, or I'll be banned. I always book a hotel with a hot tub so that I can have a drink and relax for 15 minutes.
What a great disappointment. Unless you like a headache from the smell of Fabreeze. Carpets were absolutely disgusting both in the room and in the hallways. Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Did not sleep well because of the must. Website stated duel queen beds, but we received 1 full and 1 queen sized. The breakfast was disguising. Didn’t feel safe around the hotel. Would’ve rather slept my family in the car at a random parking lot. DO NOT STAY HERE!
What started out to be a nice stay was ruined by the lack of a manager on site to help with a payment issue. I was notified by my credit card company that I was charged twice. I went to the front desk before I left to fix the issue. Since I booked my stay with Booking.com I was told that happens often, probably just pending and will resolve itself. No one even looked in the computer and no manager. On my vacation I called the desk three times. First time i called I was told yes I was charged twice and someone would fix it that night. That didn’t happen. Second call I was told to call back the next day to talk to a manager. Next day I called at 8:30 am and was told the manager was in meetings all day and not available. If this company is actually paying someone to be the manager they aren’t doing the job. I am now looking at other options.
