The Days Inn & Suites Traverse City consistently receives mixed reviews, with significant concerns regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. While some guests appreciate the location and value, frequent issues with dirty rooms, unresponsive staff, and outdated facilities detract from the overall experience. Recent reviews highlight a decline in hotel upkeep and responsiveness.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Let’s start with the only good things, I can’t complain about the guy at the front desk he was very nice and polite. It’s not really his fault that the owner of the hotel doesn’t care about keeping it up to date. The location is decent as it is close to downtown and surrounding businesses. The only thing clean in my hotel room was the bed. Everything else in my room was dirty and old. The carpet was so dirty you could smell the odor coming from it and that included in the hallway. The bathroom tub had black mold in the crevices and was not clean! They tried to hide the fact that the room was old and grimy with a new bed frame and a new tv stand but you can clearly see and smell that it is in need of new flooring and an updated bathroom. I would NOT stay here again. For the price I paid I’m just very disappointed and disgusted. Just wanted to make an honest review for the people that value an honest opinion and want to stay somewhere clean.

Shortly after checking in, my son had to go to the ER and we ran out of the room without our card keys. I mentioned it to the young man working at the counter that we would need a new card when we returned. When we got back to the hotel, this note was on the front desk and there was not a single employee in the entire building. I called the number at least five times and walked all over the hotel to find someone to help us, but no one was there. About 20 minutes or more went by. In the meantime, another guest arrived and couldn’t check in either. The young man finally returned with a soda and snack in his hand. Ironically, there is a nice soda, machine and snack machine in the hallway. In the morning, we needed coffee desperately, and as you can see from the picture, the coffee machine was full of mold. The bathroom walls didn’t look too great either, shown in the picture below. The breakfast was a cold breakfast, but still nice and the area was very clean. Then last, but not least during our last few few hours there preparing to leave, our remote control stopped working working for the television television. My son went to the girl at the front desk desk to grab new batteries And she gave him some. When it still wouldn’t work, he took it back to her and she For us a new remote. We never seen or heard from her until we laughed several hours later, at which time she pretended like the whole thing never happened. The location is great, but you get what you pay for, and in this case, not even that. Pass.

Artisanal brewed coffee available in the lobby 24hrs/day. Hot tub room was spacious. Our stay was very quiet. Only $150 weekday during peak season. Breakfast available was just prepackaged muffins and granola bars so we ate elsewhere. Bob evans in walking distance. It's a hard road to maneuver so we used the nearby speedway to turn around at the light.

Nice place. A bit dated but super clean. Super comfy beds. Nice breakfast selection. Everyone was professional and nice. Would definitely stay again. Also a great value for this area! Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful experience.

This hotel was terrible. Arrived after check in time. Checked in the front. Got in a very dirty elevator which opened up to a sign saying ice machine broken. Walked down the hall to the room and was met by the front desk attendant at our room. Said "Oh sorry its not clean yet". Why didnt you know that before we hauled upstairs. With no time frame we had to leave and just wait. So walked down the very dirty stairs to leave. (The stairs stayed dirty our entire stay). Our room had a jetted jub. But who wants to use that with someone elses hair in it. They told us breakfast was served in the lobby in the mornings. Came down to granola bars and ceral. Second floor hall and our room have a unpleasant smell. If there wasn't a tournament going on we would have looked for another place. Terrible.

The last 24 hours have been a nightmare for me, including being left out in the snow for 5 hours before the Goodwill Inn stepped in to help. I want to give a huge thank you to Michelle at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful, respectful, and kind to me during a very low point. ?I am currently in a corner room b I'my a car wash and slamming doors, which has my traumatized dogs on edge and barking. I spoke with Michelle about moving, and while she was very sympathetic, the hotel was full and couldn't move us. ?I also want to note that the toilet in the room wasn't working when I arrived. I ended up fixing it myself so the next guest wouldn't have an issue, and I let the staff know just so they were aware. I am so blessed to have this roof over my head, but between the noise and the lack of sleep, it has been a very difficult stay. I'm grateful for the respect Michelle showed me while I try to navigate this.

It is always a pleasure to stay here. It is always quiet, clean, and they even have dog treats in the lobby if you have a dog with you! Sunny, the agent at the front desk, is always so polite and considerate I told my sister he always brightens my day and makes me want to stay at this particular hotel. I visit Traverse City often as my Dad lives here and I always look forward to staying at this hotel!

We stayed in a king jacuzzi room with sleeper sofa. We opened the sofa bed to find food on crumbs on the mattress. The mattress is stained and cigarette burns on the extra blanket for the sofa bed. The 25 dollar extra a night for a dog fee is ridiculous. The pet fee should be on the reservation so you know before check in

Was looking for a getaway and break from work, which is pretty rare for me. Wasn’t impressed with the service and tried to address that directly but it wasn’t taken seriously. A 70 dollar room should receive the same class service as any other highly priced room I believe. I ended up with athletes foot which I’ve never had as far as I recall. It should be noted that it’s just a room. Nothing more. And blankets cannot be delivered. I promise I’m not one to complain about vacation because I always used to see it as a luxury. Emailed called and no discount or retry or refund. So not at all a fan as I take my limited income very seriously and this is a higher priced luxury.

Website says pet friendly but nothing regarding an extra charge. Got there and he said we can decide the charge of whatever we want when you get here!! Are you serious?? Then made me fill out paperwork proving my dog was for my disability and what he could do. Even though I had oxygen strapped to my face when I walked in. Also nasty sticky stuff on the nightstand and we have only been checked in for 15 minutes at this point. Also although it says pet friendly but then after you drive 100+ miles to get here their paperwork says NO CATS ..thank you Lord I didn't have a cat.
