The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa receives mixed reviews, with recent guests praising its location, amenities, and friendly staff, particularly the spa and outdoor areas. However, several recent reviews highlight significant issues including outdated TVs, inconsistent housekeeping, uncomfortable room temperatures, and noisy events disturbing guests. Value for money is also a concern for some.

Beautiful resort and property. The staff are great and the food was delicious. Todd Hagerman one of the bellman was incredible. He waited at this airport until after 1 AM for a shuttle to the resort my first night and then throughout my stay was incredibly friendly and helpful!

2nd time I have been here to get a pedicure, this time I added a manicure. I always leave feeling so refreshed. The service is always so great too!! One thing I can say is that if you get a gift certificate and tell them you want the weekend rate and to include tips.....note that apparently pricing can go up even more depending on how busy they are (not just weekend rate). This was strange bc I was the only one getting my nails painted at the time. Just wanted to share so you can be prepared!! Regardless great place, I will keep coming back.

Our check-in experience was very disappointing. Dani was not welcoming, friendly, or engaging, and he provided little to no information about the resort, its amenities, or what to expect during our stay. As guests, we expected a warm welcome and a brief overview to help us make the most of our visit, but instead we felt like we were an inconvenience. First impressions matter, and unfortunately this interaction set a negative tone for our stay. We hope management addresses this issue and provides additional customer service training so that future guests receive the hospitality and professionalism they deserve. Todd was awesome

For a 4 star resort and spa and paying close to $400 a night, I would expect a tv to function properly. Not only did the menu not work, we could not even order a movie. The guide would not come up so you could literally only scroll channels. There is no logging into your own Netflix or other streaming services because the TV’s are so old they don’t allow for it. They sent engineering up twice to help and she said “I literally know nothing about TV’s”. Not helpful. Also, there are only mirrors in the bathroom. But the shower, toilet and sink are all in the same area and the shower has glass see through doors. So if you are sharing a room with friends, only one person can get ready at a time. I was here for a work conference and sharing a room with colleagues. Very inconvenient. Overall, just very disappointed for a 4 star resort and spa and paying that kind of money.

Been coming a couple of years now for group golf trips. Courses are fun and in pretty good shape. Decent shopping options and a nice pool. The rooms always seem to need updating and definitely better cleaning, especially for the exorbitant prices of the resort.

First time staying at Grand Traverse Resort. Property is nice. Ok location but you’re really outside of town (if that’s important). We had 6 of us, so we booked one of the cottages overlooking the golf course. Nice views, easy in/out and parking. Lots of amenities in the main complex. Only real complaint was the housekeeping. 6 people in a 3-bed/2-bath unit and we ran out of toilet paper in less than 2 days. Called and asked for more, they sent 1 roll. 6 people in a 2 bathroom unit and they sent 1 roll. Fortunately we got by before leaving, but it just seemed ridiculous. It’s not 2020, I think they can spare a few rolls of TP.

Hotel was very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools were amazing, its crazy swimming in a warm pool in freezing weather. Awesome experience. Overall had a great time. Will go back.

We took advantage of the Valentines Day special and it was beautiful! The brunch. Buffet at Aerie was Marie Gras themed and high class. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tubs during winter and the comfortable and relaxing bed!

The hotel is well run, rooms are large, have great views, and have all the amenities. The pool and saunas in the spa are wonderful. You have to ask to get access to the locker room and has the little sauna's and showers, but it's certainly a nice upgrade. So far the only problem I found is the TV is not a smart TV, old style with pay-per-view, but not a big deal.

Nicole, Luciana, and David Baker at the Health Club couldn’t have made my daughter and son’s experience at the club any greater! The kids and I made ourselves right at home in lobby cozied up by the fireplace between The waterpark the fine dining. The staff made us feel welcomed, accepted, and even the windows were clean! Definitely made gave us the wow factor that made for great memories!
