Hamilton Place offers newly renovated townhomes in a convenient location near Traverse City. Recent reviews highlight the modern amenities and cleanliness, but significant concerns have been raised regarding inconsistent booking practices, noise levels, and cleanliness issues. The property struggles with responsiveness to guest issues.

Title: Severe shaking throughout the property Our group rented three townhomes at Hamilton Place during the Cherry Festival, July 5–9. All three units noticeably shook whenever semitrucks and even regular cars passed on the road. The shaking could be felt in the beds and throughout the units, repeatedly disturbing our sleep. In all the years I have rented vacation properties, I have never experienced anything like this. We also spoke with guests in other buildings who said they were experiencing the same issue. The complex is directly on a very busy road, so it is also extremely loud when sitting outside. Guests looking for a quiet place to relax should be aware of both the traffic noise and the shaking before booking. We reported the problem during our stay, but management had nowhere else to move us. They offered to refund only the remaining nights if we left, which was not a realistic solution because we had three townhomes and could not find replacement lodging during the Cherry Festival. Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 p.m., but two units were not ready until around 5:00 p.m., and the third was not available until approximately 6:00 p.m. The internet was also down for a full day. I requested partial compensation and was told management would review it, but more than a week later, I still have not received a response. The units were attractive and nicely decorated, but the constant shaking and road noise outweighed the positives. A rental can look beautiful, but being able to sleep comfortably is what matters most, and unfortunately, we were unable to do that here.

12 days after I booked, they cancelled my reservation via email. No phone call, just a cancellation notice. They told me the rate I booked was too low due to a system glitch and refused to honor the reservation, despite issuing a confirmation number and processing my deposit (which they did refund). EDIT: They reinstated my reservation after posting this review.

Just a few issues with our unit. We were never sent a code to be able to get into the unit, had to call in order to get the check-in info. Which was quick and easy after the call. After getting into our room, there was noticeable hair on the counters and in the beds that wasn't ours, as well as stains on the couch, and a half used bottle of water that our 3 year old found and brought to us. There also were left over carry out bags dated from January, two months prior to our stay. Just looked like it wasn't cleaned very well. These units are new and very nice, but could benefit from better cleaning. If that gets fixed, these are cute little places with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in them, just a short drive into downtown traverse city. Hopefully with being so new, these are just a few glitches that they fix! Other than those few things, we had a great stay!

Location is close to downtown! The rooms are beautiful. I would highly recommend this place for families or friend groups visiting Traverse City. The outdoor fire pit and hang out space would be amazing in the summer for enjoying a meal or gathering.

Hamilton Place exceeded all expectations! My friends and I had an absolute blast. Since the rentals are brand new, everything was sparkling clean and modern. You really can’t beat being right in the heart of Traverse City because we were just a quick drive to everything. This is officially my go-to spot for future trips!

Had the best stay here! They thought of everything that would be needed during a stay, and loved the perks of TV’s in the bedrooms and also the heated floors in the bathroom! Was very clean and also included some snacks if we got hungry! Would definitely book here again!
